REAL UFO? - NAVY A-12A
THIS IS THE A-12 EXPERIMENTAL PLANE TESTED IN AREA 51

Question: Photo #: 174 shows the mock-up of the Navy's A-X (Attack-Experimental) of the 1980's. It was designated the A-12A, and was to be a stealthy attack aircraft. Designed by General Dynamics, it was canceled by then-Secretary of Defense Dick Cheney, before any production work was done. No such plane was actually built, or was ever flight-tested at Area 51, or anywhere else. The photo shows the full scale mock-up, which now resides in a Texas museum.
